Core areas

The core areas of our preventive and functional medicine in Potsdam

Each therapy goes through the following areas:

1

Detailed medical history

Who are you? What symptom and disease history do you and your relatives have? We analyze you thoroughly with detailed medical history forms and your files and identify personal problem areas. Our holistic medicine looks at all the interrelationships. Therefore, this part is the most important.

2

Your health goal

What do you want to achieve in terms of health? Get rid of chronic ailments? Unfulfilled desire to have children? Or do you have athletic goals? We will take you there.

3

Gene analysis

In order for us to see if you have a genetic predisposition/pre-disposition to certain common diseases (e.g. diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, Crohn's disease, Hashimoto's disease) or upcoming organ ailments (heart, intestines, lungs, eyes), our genetic analysis comes into play. It warns us in time for countermeasures. With the key being Epigenetics.

4

Endocrinology / Hormone Balance

We look at the interaction of your functional hormones (e.g. thyroid, adrenal, sex hormones) and identify imbalances that may be directly responsible for many of your complaints. With a view to your metabolism and interactions, we treat far-sightedly with bioidentical hormones.

5

Intestinal health and intolerances

The intestine is the body's point of contact with the environment. Through food, we absorb many substances that are either good or bad for us. Allergies and intolerances arise here, this is where the decision is made as to what enters the body. We examine and strengthen your intestinal flora and intestinal barrier with pro- and prebiotics, micronutrients and also rebuild them.

6

Analysis of chronic stress / stress medicine

Stress is essential for survival, because it mobilizes our body and protects us from dangerous situations. However, chronic stress can also become a burden when there is no recovery. Our neurotransmitter and cortisol analysis help to evaluate the stress response and the heart rate variability (HRV) measurement provides information about your ability to recover.

7

Diabesity Prevention

The new term "Diabesity" (Diabetes + Obesity) refers to the combination of diabetes/insulin resistance and obesity. This interrelated disease pattern is extremely widespread in Europe due to our lifestyle and has a major impact on the entire body system. Therefore, prevention is central here. Among other things, we reverse the metabolic syndrome and combat insulin resistance, the precursor to diabetes.

8

Therapy of exhaustion, burnout, Long-Covid

A healthy body needs sleep and rest to regenerate, to process the impressions of the day and to store what has been learned in short-term and long-term memory. In many people, this loop does not function properly and regeneration and recovery do not take place sufficiently. By measuring heart rate variability (HRV), we get to the bottom of your exhaustion, fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome, burnout or long covid.

9

Environmental medicine

With a look into environmental medicine, we can determine particular stresses (mold, wood preservatives, pesticides, environmental toxins, heavy metals) in the body and your body's individual ability to break them down and detoxify them as well. In this way, we systematically clarify the presence of sources of stress in your environment (e.g. mold infestation in living spaces or dental metal) and make individual recommendations for action.
